Windows Live Photo Gallery

Easily manage and share your photos and videos

Don Hershberger will present a program on 
Microsoft’s Live Photo Gallery.
This program is available free from Microsoft for Xp and Vista.
It also contains an upgraded Movie Maker application.
Includes visual effects, transitions, and audio integration.

Highlights of the program include:

• Easy importing from your camera
• Simple publishing to Windows Live Spaces
• Easy organizing of your photos and videos
• Tagging photos for more sorting power
• Enhanced photo editing features
• Creating geat slideshows in a snap

Dear Member,

Both the EPCUG Board and our membership recently voted 2 changes to our club’s operations. They are:

1. Method of collecting funds needed to run the club. We now no longer collect at the door at each meeting and have decided to charge annually for membership in the club. We did this for 2 reasons.
• The cost to rent the High Dive for meetings had increased to $120 per meeting which was more than we can afford and
• The library where we currently meet is free but does not allow us to collect money in their facility.
2. Club name change. We have decided to change our club name to the Michiana PC Users Group (MIPCUG) in order to:
• More accurately reflect our geographically diverse membership and
• To better attract members from outside the Elkhart area.

Because we no longer can collect funds at the door we were forced to change to this new arrangement for soliciting funds in order for the club to survive. The following membership plan will be implemented for MIPCUG. Annual dues will be charged at $20.00 per member. This is $13.00 lower than the $3.00 charge at the door that had been in place (11 meetings @ $3.00 per meeting) If an annual family membership is desired it will cost $30.00 There will be no charges for the remainder of 2006. Members will have the following advantages not afforded to non members:

• They will be eligible for all drawings and will be required to show their membership card in order to receive the item(s)
• They will be able to join the list which will allow them to get questions and problems resolved by submitting their own specific questions via email or by following questions and responses submitted by other members via our list email system
• They will have access to our News Letters which provide tips and explanations in layman’s terms about various PC related issues
• They will have access to other of our web site advantages such as our library of prior News Letters, downloads of various software and fixes, etc.

You will find your membership invoice attached for 2007. We need your support in order to continue to provide the Michiana area with a club that allows us all to meet and share ideas, information and experiences with other PC users and venders. By encouraging learning, research, product reviews, and participation in Special Interest Groups (SIGs), MIPCUG aims to help you our membership develop an increased understanding, maximum benefit, and enjoyment from the use of your PC systems.

Who are we?

Michiana PC Users Group is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to help each other and the community, by sharing information and experiences relating to software, hardware, systems & platforms (Windows9x, ME, & XP) in the personal and business computing realm. The user group does NOT endorse, rate, or otherwise officially comment on products, and readers are cautioned to rely on the opinions presented exclusively at their own risk.

When do we meet?

MIPCUG meets the fourth Thursday of the month, except for November and December. We combine both those meetings and meet the first Thursday in December. MIPCUG Meetings are held at the [Elkhart Public Library->http://www.mipcug.org/index.php/maps_directions/], 300 S 2nd St, Elkhart, IN  Doors open at 6:30 PM., the meeting starts at 7:00 PM.

Financial Infomation

All money received by MIPCUG from advertising, sponsorships, dues, and donations are used to support the organization and its goals. To become a member of MIPCUG and receive access to the MIPCUG newsletter, fill out the membership form found on this website, and mail it to the address shown below.  Annual membership dues are $20 per member. A family membership can be purchased for $30.
